I'm fascinated by articles about gut bacteria and microbes for some reason. I can't put my finger on why, but it excites me. I eat pretty well, but I've been thinking about nutrition a lot. I've toyed with the idea of visiting a nutritionist, but I don't know how to go about finding one that knows about microbes. I mean, I don't know anything about them other than the articles I've read, so how could I verify? I guess I could ask for references . . . Anyway, one thing I thought was interesting, is that the article specifically mentions cheese. I know in the US we eat way too much cheese, something which was pointed out to me by an ex-girlfriend. To her, cheese is the same as butter and something to be avoided in the interest of maintaining her figure (which I appreciated). On the other hand, I've read that cheese or some kinds of cheeses are probiotic foods, which marketing tells me is good. But then, it's a marketing tactic, so how much can I really trust it? All I know is, the healthier one's guts are, the easier it is to travel and to try new things. Yeah, Immodium exists, but I don't think that stuff is good either.
