I have not, thanks for the link!
It's pretty cool seeing the contour of Trane's lines.
I love when it gets to the piano solo: PIANO SOLO | -14- | PIANO SOLO CONTINUES | -48- | Hmm. It looks like it's a whole-step down from the 5th Edition of The Real Book: Who knows. I always think it's interesting seeing solos notated. Though I can read sheet music pretty well and I used to play tenor pretty good, I always had trouble marrying the two. Musically, my eyes and fingers are not so well connected. I mean, for one thing, grace notes used to fuck me up all the time. Listening and playing back? Much easier.
Haha well, it's not entirely worth transcribing. I don't think Tommy Flanagan knew what him him when. Hmm, that's very interesting. Do you have perfect pitch?
I'm fairly certain that you have to be born with perfect pitch and that relative pitch is what's learned. That's not too shabby. dead5 and I are trying to starting to put together a collaborative song, would you want to be a part of it?
I might be wrong, though I thought I read something about the prevalence of people with perfect pitch in places where tonal languages are spoken. Oh well. I appreciate the thought, but it's been a while since I played to any standard I'd be willing to display. I'm interested in seeing what you guys come up with though :)
Hmm, that's very interesting and definitely something I'm going to procrastinate with. Hahaha, alright then. I'll keep you posted.
