This is the handiest extension I've ever used.
Google Dictionary -- whenever you double click a word to highlight it, the definition appears right above in a hovering box. You can even double click to highlight a word inside the hovering box, and it will define it as well, no need to reach for the keyboard or type. I cannot browse the web without it, my vocabulary grows daily, and it's so convenient.
OSX/Safari has the "google dictionary" feature built in. You just three-finger tap to bring it up. But what's my favorite extension? I have a few: 1. Adblock. Can't live without it. It's for every browser so there's no reason not to get it. 2. Reddit Enhancement Suite. I browse reddit a lot and it vastly improves the UI. Works on any browser. 3. Last.FM Scroblr. Any of them. I have one for safari (my browser) but there are plenty for chrome too.
RES, It makes browsing reddit much more faster and enjoyable
I've been meaning to ask mk this, why doesn't the extension in the OP not work in hubski? It works almost everywhere else on the web.
Well then, that's confusing. I'm on OS X 10.9, google chrome 30.0.1599.101. Alas, for those instances where I need to define a word on hubski I'll have to use my keyboard. It's working on mine....
Oh I'm on 10.6.8 at work and it's working. I'll have to check when I get home to see if it's a 10.9 error. There are a lot of Mavericks / Chrome issues right now.
