Well, looks like they got the writer from Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, so that's a good sign. And John Williams is still coming back to score, so that's good. If it's bad I can just close my eyes and listen. I feel like announcing a release date that's over two years away is really starting the hype train too early, even for Star Wars, and just going to set the fanboys up for disappointment. BUT, I'm assuming they are going ahead with filming all three movies of the new trilogy back to back, and then releasing them consecutively over the 3 years or so following the December 2015 release? I'm not one to hype things, I like seeing the early info, but I'm just going to have to wait and see it. No matter how good or bad it is, it's still going to generate so much hate.
You're right about the hate. I don't envy the task of creating the next installment of one of the most well-loved and longest continually expanding fictional universes. Then again, the cartoons were ok, if overly cutesy and dumbed down. Better than Episode 1 though. Edit: autocorrect
