For me to enjoy a piece of fiction (keyword here being fiction) scientific accuracies aren't terribly important. However, I did enjoy reading Tyson's tweets. As a nonscientist it is interesting to know what is and is not accurate. I've not seen the film yet, has anyone here seen it? Story should trump science when making fiction. It's not a documentary -where story should never trump accuracy (unless you're Michael Moore, then you get a pass)
I "saw" it. Read as: it was background noise to whatever I was doing at the time. As a story? I don't know, I just thought it was over the top... The end of the movie... Shouldn't whatever she was in at the time have burned up on re-entry or broke (catastrophically) when she landed? Maybe I'm wrong and should go give it a serious watch just to make sure I caught all of the major plot points. Which as far as I know seem to be "FUCK I'M FLOATING AROUND THE BLACK!", again I could be wrong. Going to rent it again and watch it at some point.
