We have some pretty amazing sea life around Catalina but this is a first for me. I've snorkeled at the exact spot where they found this one. I most likely would've shit bricks though...not grabbed it by the tail.

Can confirm... I met it there about 7 years ago; was out on a boat all alone at night. Giant crustacean came out of the water. Scary as hell, giant yellow eyes and looked at me. I asked it, "What do you want from me monster?!" Said it needed about Three fiddy.
