Tagged 'sports'. We all knew it was fucking ridiculous that the World Cup was going to be in Qatar in the first place, but it didn't occur to me that it would cost lives (which it should've). Hopefully FIFA will learn some semblance of a lesson from this.
It both boggles my mind and I'm not surprised that Qatar got it. FIFA isn't exactly the most...respectful...of organizations and from what I've heard from a few friends, the committee members that decide who the next host is get a lot of "gifts" from the cities that are trying to woo them. Qatar is quite wealthy so it's understandable how they would be able woo themselves into hosting the World Cup in 2022.
I've always been of the opinion that tags are both editorial and categorical. What we've implemented here is "community tags." In the upper left hand corner, next to your name is a "hub wheel" and once it does a full rotation, you will eventually have the ability to add "community tags" to any post. If you have any other questions, let me know... and welcome to Hubski!
So for instance this post should be tagged #sports and #soccer, but then might have a community tag of #worldcup or #fifaworld cup or whatever? Moreover, is there a FAQ available yet? Thanks! Edit: Imagine that, hubski.com/faq...didn't even think to try...
Also, take a look at the bottom bar on your page. Lot's of interesting info there FAQ/ABOUT and a Tutorial. Also, TMI is pretty cool. Good luck! Let me know how else I can help. -seriously.
I tagged it sports purely to increase the number of people who saw it. If you check the tags page up top you can see how many people follow the most popular tags and so on. Each post gets two tags of your choosing and then a third community tag can be added by whoever feels like it. You can tag anything whatever you want, it's the choice between specificity and reaching a wide audience that makes it interesting!
