:O! AN AUSTRALIAN!? Haha, that's like calling you a Canadian or a Mexican. New Zealand is it's own country however it also has a total tosser for a Prime minister. Yeah I might throw up some old YouTube clips. With the timezones of America to New Zealand things like UFC are shown in the morning or early afternoon. I watch NFL but I need to take up at 5am on Monday to watch the early games. My high school had rugby, cricket and soccer and now field hockey, I couldn't imagine we'd have schools offering wrestling, probably have to find a club to go along. Would like to get my daughter into a sport, she's only 2 at the moment but she likes to practice taekwondo with my wife wearing her own gear. Used to watch Friday night fights on espn, but you can't really follow the career of someone that easily. But you're right, I need to find something to go out and watch. Take my mind off the awful Cleveland Indians at the moment My daughter with my wife practising

I followed MMA when flatting but I'm not that keen on pirating, mostly because I'm lazy, and I don't have cable. I haven't seen if you can purchase PPVs online. Boxing is such a huge sport I wouldn't know where to start. I just watch pacquaios fights mainly. And I've never seen wrestling outside the olympics. I didn't even know it had it's own following (is it televised?)
Haha yeah sorry to burst your bubble. I used to follow wcw as a youngin and now listen to the Steve Austin podcast. I've always been quite gumby, however my wife used to do taekwondo in Beijing. She used to also be a referee. And when I went back to Beijing I met her coach. He showed me an article in English about himself. It talked about how Chinese wrestling (Shuai jiao) used to be the biggest sport in china but then the government stopped sponsoring it and athletes went into Olympic sports. Her coach tried to bring it back and uses his taekwondo school to subsidize the sport of shuai jiao and now it is becoming an international sport. He was really proud he was in an international magazine then told my wife he doesn't know what the article said because he hasn't seen it in Chinese, so my wife had to explain what the article is about.
I joked it could have said how much of an idiot he is and he was going around feeling proud he was in a magazine haha.
Haha, I don't think you want another uneducated immigrant. My wife is a teacher, but I doubt her Chinese education means anything in your country. I work for an airline and do some stuff that makes me semi desirable, but the airline Industry is mimicking the fast food industry where if they can replace you with machines they will. The New Zealand economy is so shitty and will become more so with the introduction of the TPPA, so will probably go to Beijing since my wife owns an apartment there, however I can't speak Chinese with the exception of a few words and a couple of swear words. When I was there this year I watched a lot of sports. If we lived there I'd get one of those american expat cable services so I could hear English. Two months I spoke to two people besides my wife haha. Beijing was truly amazing. I assumed it would be anarchy but parts remind me of new york and where she is from is about a ten minute walk to Tiananmen square
Yeah I heard that after I posted from reddit alternatives. I think that would be a good thing. I hate those people that use tragic events to fire off one liners in hopes of upvotes. Those would be the most useful to block :)
I'll post what I wrote in another reddit themed thread but expand on it to tell a bit about me. Hello,
I'm migrating as well. I was doing voat since the FPH fiasco because I knew it was going to become a sinking ship.
I had a very small list of subs I subscribed too and most the default ones I kept are now private.
I was into weight loss, wrestling, new zealand and Beijing subs, so I've been a bit scared to delete my app because I'm not sure when those smaller subreddits will decide to move en masse.
I will give this a solid try.
Hope the negative redditors don't bring the same hate trains with them.
So I'm a kiwi with a beijinger for a wife, last year I lost 40kgs in an effort to be healthier for my daughter's sake.
this year I went to Beijing and married my partner. I got a little bit fat from eating too many frogs and turtles and donkeys and who knows what else I ate haha. I used to be into WCW wrestling and I have the wwe network. I find wrestling doesn't appeal to me in its current state but I enjoy watching a piece of my childhood. Apart from that I'm a pretty boring average guy :)
