Hey crossstitch! Glad you like the list I put up! "Drown" definitely was an interesting read. I feel like Diaz puts a little bit of himself in every character he writes, not just the protagonist. I hadn't read anything that real since "Crank" by Ellen Hopkins. I just finished "Lolita" and it was one of the most interesting books I've read in a long time. Nabokov is a new favorite of mine. Glad to hear how expansive the universe is. I read Ender's Game when I was in high school and I really hope Dune will grab me as much as that did. It's really interesting how many parallels to Native American genocide I'm picking up on as I rethink it's plot. I'm assuming Dune alludes to Oil production?

I just picked up Dune from my dad who swears by how good the book is. I've tried reading it but it didn't really grab me. What're your thoughts on it?
