If the US wanted to dominate South Sudan, they would go take it over on the grounds that the North is persecuting the black population there. It wouldn't be very hard, given the already popular celebrity champions of Darfur. This seems like a pretty roundabout way of doing things.

Uhm...

pro•pa•gan•da \'pra-pe-"gan-de, 'pro-\ noun [NL, fr. Congregatio de propaganda fide Congregation for propagating the faith, organization established by Pope Gregory XV †1623] (1718) 2 : the spreading of ideas, information, or rumor for the purpose of helping or injuring an institution, a cause, or a person 3 : ideas, facts, or allegations spread deliberately to further one's cause or to damage an opposing cause; also : a public action having such an effect (C)1996 Zane Publishing, Inc. and Merriam-Webster, Incorporated. ...that's the whole point of propaganda.

On the contrary, the link between the State Dept and the Alliance of Youth Movements, which created movements.org is pretty clear via Chris Sarette. From https://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?complete=0&...:

"Chris Sarette Vice President, Business Operations [for Invisible Children]

Chris Sarette is Invisible's trump card. He graduated from USC with an MA in Communication Management at the age of 21 and waived a position with a communication consulting firm to polish Our development strategy. Chris then initiated and directed the Schools for Schools program before transitioning into his current position as VP of Business Operations. He now manages IC's core operations, including Technology, HR, Shipping, Office Management and Data Management. Oh, and he's Our resident authority on all matters of Salesforce. Chris has traveled to Uganda four times and lead two S4S Winners Trips. Actually, Chris has traveled to more countries abroad than US states. Don't worry; it's completely normal to feel like an underachiever around him."

Here's the link to his page on movements.org: http://www.movements.org/pages/164/

So your claim that no evidence exists is unfounded.

Morally, there's nothing wrong. But this is the government we're talking about, where black is white, up is down, and tyranny is freedom.

But according to this article, what he wrote, even as "subtleties," might have been misinterpreted. It sounds like he was writing a bunch of this in code so that, if we read what he wrote through the musical and mathematical code, it might not be so subtle. In fact, it might be very clear what he was trying to say. I'm looking forward to reading this when it's fully decoded.

Unlike we are now.

just_me  ·  4778 days ago  ·  link  ·    ·  parent  ·  post: Madly in love - is there a rational basis to love?
Right, but I took this as love is primarily about trying to achieve some goal. So, in that context, love is less of a feeling and more of an impetus by the brain to do something that leads to other "real" feelings.

The Kelo case is probably one of the most famous (infamous?) in all eminent domain cases. It's Korematsu v. United States (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Korematsu_v._United_States) applied to eminent domain. It's disgusting. It's just one more example of how corrupt the USSC is.

I did it before I realized that it seemed to be for iPhones only (which I don't have). So I didn't get the message.

Also, it appears it might only be good for iPhone users.
