The Nasa Stream was way cooler, but 720p. The WH stream is in 1080p at least!
I'm excited! Waiting up watching the live stream from Nasa now. Tomorrow I plan to watch Launch Pad Astronomy's stream. He has a very good series of videos about the JWST, playlist here. :)
I recently had the chance to see a show, opened by a relatively unknown guy with fantastic stage presence, couldn't help but liken him to Freddie Mercury and David Bowie which I believe are both influences. Hoping to see more of him. Mickey Callisto - Destructive Love Mickey Callisto - This is The Real World
Bit late for April fools isn't it? Disgusting scam but not hard to see how it would do well. It's got hallmarks of about half a dozen schemes bundled up up to and including a pyramid scheme!
That's correct, I discounted much of the comments but it was a good prompt for me to think critically about what the authors were aiming to do. A skill I tend to not practice so often!
Saved to watch later, cheers! I have watched a few of Destin's videos on the telescope, really enjoyed one of his latest ones:
Thank you for sharing, it helps give a critical deconstruction of the original article and it's always good to get competing view points.
I'm sorry your family is going through that. There isn't much that I could say to help but I hope you know you can reach out to talk.
Alzheimer's is a hell of a battle for everyone involved, speaking from experience. It sounds like you are going at it the right way though, being prepared. All my love to you and yours goob.
Terrifying, the court of public opinion seems to agree with the Swedish justice system. I would be very interested to see if this made it to the ECHR. Thanks for sharing as always.
Thank you for sharing, it helps ground the ongoing war.
Can't say I'm familiar but I did look him up. I don't really mind it. It was just something hammered home in every English and writing class I ever took.
I am so glad to have finally read this work. It has been on my incredibly small to-read list for years, and whenever I have tried I have maybe managed a chapter or two and then found it hard to progress. I have only now managed to do so because I have come into possession of an old Kindle, and downloading the ebook off Project Gutenberg. I'm not kidding about finding it nauseating to read though with long meandering sentences with irrelevant detail thrown in repeated over and over. Maybe this is part of the charm that paints this world that feels real and lived in. And who starts a sentence with a conjunction anyway?
I want a hank the tank tshirt, somebody get on it!
That's really interesting, I had always assumed corn oil would be the one consumed more often. Thanks for sharing I'm sticking with olive oil.
I know right? I'm really tempted to pre-order the upcoming album, but think I need to hear a bit more first!
Haha I got in early! I have made it through the recruitment hiccups and will be starting next month, cannot overstate how exciting this change of scenery is for me. September is always a good month for Change, I should join a gym.
Been a little while since I've stopped in; I need to work on that. My last update in May I said about not getting the job I had been waiting on. There was another one in the background that I had been wanting and it was partly luck that I saw the posting for it. Well I've got it! Or... at least... I should have it? I'm now 4 months into recruitment hell, where the only information I get back about the process is if I call up and ask if everything is alright. I shouldn't be finding out this far down the line that basic ID documents haven't been accepted or that instructions that were meant to be included in my offer letter weren't. I've been working on some artwork, it's taken me a little while to refine it and finish it up and I keep flip-flopping on whether I like it, or hate it entirely. Missed the deadline for the staff art gallery though; but I might write it up and post it on here if there's any interest?
Really cool explanation, I had seen some of this before but not to this level. Thanks for sharing!
Three day weekend -- good, was getting to the point of burnout. Things are going okay, I'm happy with where I'm at but I know it's going to get hectic very quickly -- always fun.
That's pretty cool, I wonder if we have introduced competing spores by sending our tech?
I didn't realise "stalkers" were a real thing -- having only seen the videogame series. Weird! I didn't see any mention about whether this is contaminating the groundwater, either with radiation or gadolinium nitrate. Gross to think about really.
So my presentation did go well but it was always going to be a roll of the dice -- extenuating circumstances have meant I've not got the job I've been waiting 3 years for. I'm not surprised and can take this on the chin as good 'experience' but I think I'm allowed to be put out... This is the end result of years of friends telling me I'm being taken advantage of and that I should move on, so it feels a little bit 'told you so'. I have horrendous flu so I spent most of last night having a fever dream about a second presentation. I'm going to give it a go and put something together as I think my idea is a good one and it would give me a solid piece of project work under my belt if they would actually assign me some responsibilities.
Fantastic doggo goob! Our insurance went up moving house, we're closer to a big road I guess? Our garden actually has a gate on it though so ours is safer and getting more exercise than ever!
Bit late to the pub, but had my interview and presentation today! I'm pleased with how it went and was commended for how much work I had put into it. So that's something.
Oh my goodness goob, I hope tomorrow goes well for you all and please post pictures!
Fascinating that this experiment may have been 'affected' by Spanish Flu and Covid-19.
