Spring hit here in DC fast and hard. I mean really, two weeks ago it was snowing, today it's 92. Once spring hits, certain music comes out. Light, fluffy, or just fun stuff. The National is a perpetual favorite, especially The Geese of Beverly Road from the album Alligator. Additionally I feel like ska a lot more during these times, and the most spring/summer I can think of (that gets stuck in my head without listening to it in this weather) is Big D & The Kids Table. The two most bouncy songs I always think of are Shining On and Evil Girl/Angry Girl. Don't be deceived by just those two though, they have plenty of much heavier things that fall into punk very well.
