I actually am a little bit. It never even crossed my mind until I took an intro government course this last year. Segregation is very clearly wrong, as well as discrimination against homosexuals, but sometimes I get stuck in my head trying to unravel the distinction between what rights should belong to which levels of government, whether the loose interpretation of the 14th amendment contradicts its original intent (or the original intent of separation of rights between the federal and state levels in the original amendments and articles), as well as the broad use of the commerce clause to justify the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

While yeah, I do think it is high time to do something about discrimination, it is the means by which is should be done where I become conflicted whether or not we are following our own rules we set for ourselves for who gets to decide what.
