Isn't this a good thing though? Large numbers of small earthquakes become routine and are built around. Single large ones destroy cities. We all are yelling about this being bad now, but I almost imagine that a hundred years down the line we will look highly at the accidental discovery of lubricating the planet. (and, yes, I understand that it doesn't quite work like that)
