For the past 15 years "luxury" has meant "connoisseur" (of something) such that "luxury jeans" means "jeans that can only be recognized as cool by someone else who's into jeans. -The words "luxury, connoisseur and gourmet" no longer carry any weight. My wife and I had a conversation about this the other night after we received a gift basket in the mail. The basket had the usual suspects of wine/meats/cheeses and then it also had Jellybelly jelly beans that called themselves the Gourmet jelly bean. It also had a box of "gourmet" candy corn (also made by jellybelly). I wouldn't trust any product that called itself "gourmet" or "luxury". It's like a restaurant that advertises "farm to table" or "sourced locally whenever possible". All marketing.

Yeah, I figured there would be some "WTF" with this post.
