I'm not so much bothered by the technologies. There will always be the push and pull between new toys and useful tools. However, it's the proprietry nature of the 'new web' that drives me crazy. We started with AOL and even then I knew how bad we had it.
There are profits to be made by boxing people and tracking their moves, and as a result, the efforts to do so won't stop. Facebook is making a phone.
