'sokay I think it's easier to order a nuclear reactor from France than raw milk cheese due to the trade regs. Some of the boojier farmer's markets in LA used to sell it under the table if they'd gotten to know you.

The USDA's cheese regulations are nuts.

100% agreed. I am currently neck-deep in the travesty of procuring machine tools from Germany and I, too, tried to buy some of this cheese, even knowing that you are now more likely to deal with SWAT over raw milk than you are over marijuana.

My french buddies always smuggle in cheese and meats - by mail and in luggages. My favorite thing is my friend walking around a party with a cheese board, whispering "saucisson illegal? ;)" to everybody.

They should just name the party "saucisson illegal"!
