I was looking at that shoulder this morning. That would suck. TBH I wouldn't be half as concerned about this virus if I believed that it was a byproduct of natural phenomena. Because I think it likely that it isn't, I am concerned about the mutational space it has to explore. In short, if it were engineered, it could have overcome energy/order thresholds that put it in an energy well with many new accessible niches.
