I once had a roommate that was getting foodstamps. She was single, was about my age, and had a job that paid more than mine. But, she qualified for foodstamps and got them. I could have applied for foodstamps and would have eaten much better if I did. But, I wasn't hungry, and didn't really need it. Neither did she. There are people that need foodstamps. People with low wage jobs that have children should seriously consider taking advantage of them. But if you can get by without them, and you don't, you are doing wrong to those that do need it.
