The 2014-current stingray almost has me swayed over to the dark side.

For me, it's always been the '69-77 notchbacks.

Thing of it is, ever since Chevrolet went transaxle on the 'vettes they'll go in directions other than "straight." That '97 C5 really fucked with the autocrossers...

It has been criticized in the design world as being "too Japanese", I suppose because of the stark rear lamps and other sharper lines. I think it's sweet, but that's out there.

Nobody who likes sports cars likes Corvettes anyway. They had a well-earned bad rep for a really long time; I think Automobile pointed out that the last generation smoked nearly everything else on the track, cost less, but still felt like a tupperware party on the inside. This time around everyone is jumping around pointing out that it doesn't feel like a tupperware party on the inside and trying to wrap their heads around the fact that it's a Corvette.

I've heard a few people beefing over the fact that the taillights aren't round anymore. Okay, fine. "too japanese?" Also fine. Detroit's offerings have been a fat folder of fail ever since they decided it was 1967 again and I'll take the car that doesn't look like it was designed for a Bullitt retrospective.
