I can't seemed to get a timed link to work for the URL field. Start the video sometime around 0:30 to 0:35, the first couple of guys robot'ing aren't anything terribly special (sorry dudes). You're looking for the robot in the orange shirt. The strobe part blows my mind.
Anyone ever go out dancing? What do you dance like?
I only enjoy dancing to a very narrow range of music genres, a range that grows slightly wider with alcohol. My style of dancing is somewhere between shuffling, disco, and tecktoniks, or at least, that's what I tell myself the next morning.
It'd be really fun to get a music AND dance studio, to spin a set, and in between mixing, practice dancing in front of the mirror
Also, if you have a contender video for "best robot dance", this would be the place.
If you've never heard of them Les Twins are some amazing hiphop dancers. This was the first video I ever saw of them, and from then on I was hooked on hip-hop dance. They inspired me to start hip hop dancing, but I don't dance as much as I used to... My style was very much influenced by them, and a few other dancers. EDIT: Forgot to add my nomination for the best robotic dance I've ever seen
You have a pretty solid point! Popping's changed quite a lot over the years. It used to be really funky and more mechanical. Some of the more recent sub-genres have kept the whole mechanical feel (dubstep/glitch for example), but for the most part it hasn't. Here's one of my favourite poppers, you can kind of see how it doesn't really look robotic, but it still looks really, really cool! I love looking at popping in general, and the dance battles can be really, really good. A lot of those people put real character into their dance style. (edited because I put the wrong link)
I feel like that's a great setup, but they could have recruited more talented dancers. Still a great production, thanks. :)
minor nit pick on this video but it's so you think you can dance, not x factor. i was obsessed with this guy when he first performed but he bowed out at vegas almost immediately.
Nice! Good ol' noodle arms is fun for at least one view.
