For real, Lime in the Coconut is probably the tune he is best known for. He had three big hits, Without You, Everybody's Talkin, and Lime. Without You is a Bad Finger cover and the song is better remembered as a Bad Finger song even though Nilsson absolutely murdered it. Everybody's Talkin is best remebered as "that song from Midnight Cowboy." Leaving Nilsson with the Mungo Jerry award for Lime.

A buddy of mine who is a professional musician told me a story about a friend of his who met Nilsson not to long before he passed. The guy was at the studio in the evening recording and Nilsson shows up unannounced. He was friends with the engineer or something. Nilsson hung out during the session and stayed around afterword chatting with the band. My friends buddy and Nilsson hit it off pretty well and went out to the car to smoke a joint or something. They had a long chat sitting in the car and after a bit Nilsson asked him if he would like to hear some stuff he had recorded but wasn't sure if he would ever release. They popped the tape in and listened to the whole album. The guy said the tape was great and he really enjoyed his evening hanging out with Harry.
