I recently read a quote from a Native American and I cannot find it unfortunately, but the jest of it was that when you see a black person you also see the lynching, the rape, the slavery etc that was inflicted upon them. When you see a jewish person, you see the holocaust, the banishment and centuries of torment. When you see a Native American, you see charicatures: Chiefs, Redskins, drunks etc. Their history was robbed from them and you don't see the trail of tears, the children dying in their parents arms, the disease and brutality (like scalping) that was wrought upon them.

So yeah, I agree with that and think the name is disgusting.

Everyone is able to be offended by something, this particular person just chose this particular idea to be offended about.

There is so much more than the forced relocation of a few Native tribes.

If we're going to celebrate Native American History, lets celebrate their actual history, not the Trail of Tears experienced by a few tribes.
