Also, surely the badge-awarder should have the ability to get her badge back if the badged comment is deleted!! One should be able to take a badge back for several reasons.

Be wary of who you badge. I don't think you should get your badge back. Lesson learned, don't badge those that are prone to comment deletion.

I'd want my engagement ring back if you broke the engagement. You could, say, be wary of who you get engaged to. It's not the badger's fault for being dumped by the badgee.

badgers ; -)

Aww badgers

I will henceforward think of myself as a badger. (I'd be really pissed if you deleted that newly badged comment!!!)

I LOVE badgers. Read a lot of Redwall as a kid, badgers were mythical. For some reason.

Also enjoy otters ever since the one time I went to the aquarium and it looked like they were having a lot of fun playing, which was cool, and then I noticed they were fucking the hell out of each other, which was better.

(I'm fuzzy on rape morality in the animal kingdom, but ... it might have been rape.)

Badges as hard to earn and therefore I'm pretty choosy about when I give them out. There are consequences to actions lil, every choice caries potential ramifications, even badging.

How's that for being hard nosed ;)

Being hard-nosed is a good idea. I'm suffering now for not insisting that actions have consequences.

(Just wait till your wee ones start to challenge your status quo . . . )

Dude, my 3 year old is challenging me left and right. Not kidding. I never dreamed it would be this difficult and that my patience would be tried this much. I think it was KB I was PM'ing when I said that I deal with CEO's and CFO's on a daily basis, trying (often successfully) to change their minds and do my bidding but I can't get a 3 year old to poop on the "potty" or go to bed at night.

"No!" And "Go away daddy!" Are prevalent ever since her brother was born. I'm sure these pale in comparison to what you are dealing with but damn if it isn't exhausting.

I hear ya. Hows her lying and deceit coming? Mine is teaching her two year old cousin how to lie.

thenewgreen  ·  3866 days ago  ·  link  ·

Just read this comment to my wife and she immediately cracked up laughing with empathy. At least your daughters learning how to teach and lead, right?

thenewgreen  ·  3866 days ago  ·  link  ·

Her powers of manipulation are incredible. As I write this, she's yelling from her room, "daddy I need to hold you, my stomach aches." -her stomachs fine. It's hard to resist, but resist I must. Now that we have the new baby she's trying to insist on pooping only in a diaper and is constantly asking for a pacifier. Regressive behavior.

I need a vacation.

I notice regression waves before big steps forward, hope that's what you end up with.
