Urban mass transit, school systems, parks, affordable housing and even urban welfare recipients receive crumbs relative to the vastness of government largess showered on suburbia. Is it any wonder that in bustling, successful American cities, our subways remain old, our public housing dilapidated and our schools subpar?
Does anyone have a story on this topic that addresses the land mass of the Ubited States and how few urban centers there v are in relation to said mass? Doesn't the majority of our population occupy coastlines. Wasn't recent research done into population and resource density which showed that people are organizing around certain hubs vs locating from state to state? I think these are the factors that make more sense to discuss, but I could be wrong
