There has been interesting discussions about the future here. Or communities. Wow these are nice podcasts, I didn't even know they existed. Is the footage in the podcast just public domain videos or are some of them actually your videos?
Communities and "future" are both fantastic suggestions. I'd love to do a podcast on "the future" and involve community members to discuss what they're excited about and worried about. Of course, we'd have to get our resident futurologist @thadvancedapes@ on board. Elizabeth, would you ever be interested in participating? veen that goes for you too.. you are both welcome to. It's fun and relatively painless. edit: Also, thank you for the compliment. There are other's that haven't been put to video. You can see them all under the #tngpodcast tag. Here's one that was fun: Collecting edit 2: Listening to the Collecting podcast and wow... they've certainly gotten better imo. So many pauses, so slooooowwww and artificially pensive. I'm excited for the next one to come out soon. I think it's perfect timing. The question asked is, "Why should honest people care about NSA Surveillance?"
"Communities" is interesting. I once took a course called "Community Media as a Vehicle for Social Change" - It was fascinating, but we did have to define "community." Along the same lines, "What is a Third Space?" and why do we need it. I like veen's idea "something, something cities" -- I'm actually interested in "neighbourhoods" more than "cities." I'd love a trip around the world in answer to the question "Tell me about your neighbourhood." Memory is interesting. To make it more manageable, you might ask: "What is your earliest memory?" or "What is your earliest memory of a deliberate, self-willed action?" Perhaps a more relevant topic would be "Baby in the House." Anyway, wherever you go, it will be fun. You will have to cross the bridge and head to your cabin in the woods.
That sounded like a metaphor if I didn't knew any better. I like most of the ideas mentioned here, but I'm slightly hesitant to submit, for multiple reasons. I'll be following this as it progresses though. You will have to cross the bridge and head to your cabin in the woods.
Yeah, no way you do a "future" podcast without theadvancedapes As for participating, I'll pass for now. I don't think I have anything constructive to say. I'll message if you do a podcast on something i'd feel confident contributing to or if I change my mind:)
Sounds good. Thanks again for checking them out.
steve, are they all public domain(isn) videos or are some your own footage?
