I think Valve has been waiting for the console wars to settle down to see what their consumers really want and fill in for that. Valve chose the best time to hit up the console market, in a time where Console's are trying to focus on stupid gimmicks, and social media flustered bullshit. Here comes Valve with their Steam Machines, potentially acquiring the criteria everyone wants and flood it to the masses. Or at least I hope.
