My wife recently bought a "living social" coupon for carpet cleaning. -I'm not a big fan of these types of "deals" as they usually involve you doing business with someone you've not yet done business with. I prefer word of mouth referrals from friends, neighbors etc and don't mind paying a bit more.
So she bought the coupon for a carpet cleaning company. I called and this was the message I heard.
It really creeped me out.
I still set up an appointment. When the guy arrived he was very bizarre and kept calling me "Bud". He seemed nothing like the voice on the machine, which led me to think he was using "God" as a marketing ploy.
What do you guys think of this outgoing message? I couldn't believe it. So much so that I called it right back and recorded it so I could share it with you all.
Have you guys noticed stuff like this out there? People using religion as a marketing tool for seemingly unrelated businesses?
Bizarre.
