printMen approach makeup-wearing women more frequently--but just a little more.

Especially online, men frequently declare that they find "natural beauty" without makeup more attractive; however, an observational study found that women are approached more often when wearing makeup. However, this study focused on young women in bars and the increase in approaches was merely from 1.5 per outing to 2.0 on average; certainly statistically significant, but not such a great changes as to either discourage women from leaving the face paint off when they want to be approached, nor significant enough for a bare face to provide a much-desired barrier for women uninterested in being approached.
