The affidavit also contains references to comments by Mr. Trump and his associates that didn’t tell the truth about what was classified or what he had turned over to the National Archives before the search. This appears to have frustrated the bureau enough that it felt he might be guilty of obstruction of justice by his lack of cooperation. To put it another way, the FBI thought Mr. Trump was behaving badly, as he so often does.

But that didn’t mean the FBI and Justice Department had to resort to a warrant and federal-agent search that they knew would be redolent of criminal behavior. They had to suggest probable cause of criminal acts to get their extravagant warrant, which they knew would create a political firestorm.

An incredible exercise in futility, beginning with the assumption that Donald Trump committing crimes is literally impossible and working one's way backwards from there, and publicly announcing your confusion with the legal system proceedings that so obviously already show evidence of Trump's crimes. Crimes far, far more serious than the logic behind "Lock Her Up!". Some of the most tortured, hilarious content I've ever seen come out of the Murdoch family wheelhouse.

Sadly, this is the kinda garbage that emboldens shitbags like Lindsey Graham to make the final step towards open threats/"predictions" of violence if Donald Trump is made to face justice. btw, Dark Brandon's speech coming up on Thursday evening is going to rhetorically fucking skewer you fascist dipshits so hard.

Do you think the FBI really wanted to do this? They've been forced to prove to everyday schmucks like yours truly, here, that we are still a nation of laws. This was so brazenly criminal that it finally forced the FBI's hand. And I'm still waiting. We all know that if this was anyone else, they'd be serving life in prison already.

Pretending that there aren't currently something like 15+ criminal investigations into Trump (and god knows how many civil suits) and that there isn't a clear pattern of lawlessness for which he might FINALLY be held accountable, this ONE time, because it is soooooo painfully obvious, an open and shut case? And you're STILL like "Who can know?!?".
