Dan was the drummer in The New Green. He's a phenomenal percussionist. Below was my reply to him after hearing this album for the first time. I recommend all of you find a quiet spot, put on some headphones and have a listen. Bonus points if you have a glass of wine or a joint prior.

Masterful. An awesome listen, start to finish. Intense. Thoughtful. Like being told a compelling and changing story by the dynamic voice of percussion. Well done, Dan Piccolo. It’s extremely narrative. You should be very proud. And the artwork and title are beautiful. The whole thing is amazing but Hekate is pure genius. It literally changed the room I was in. Shadows took shape and I was sat listening with the kind of attention you’d give a film during its climax. It’s a stirring piece of music.
If you were standing in front of me I’d openly applaud you. If I were wearing a hat, I’d remove it and bow. This is an achievement.
When is the vinyl for sale?
Well done, my friend.
Onward!
