I'm gonna throw this up first. It's been pissing me off. I made the eyes too big so I look like some human/lemur man and I think the ink drops read as blood. I think I can still fix it. I just wanted to experiment with watercolor pencils I have and my boss gave me a frame I can mat this into so it gained more weight that most experiments. But I'm not going to frame half assed shit.
Critique? Comments? Custard pie recipes? I think I can draw glasses on me to distract from the owl eyes and I bought Prussian blue watercolor in a tube which should help with the lack of value.
I said I was working on a comic so here's some images. Most are raw from the scanner so you can see pencil lines and the blacks aren't black. Part of the reason this is such as pain in the ass is I'm working in GIMP instead of Photoshop and I don't have a great understanding of how to make it do what I want. So the nicer pictures are in GIMP format. I also don't want to pay to scan things that are drawn at a reasonable size so that's not helping. These are 8.5x11".
I don't usually give up on things even if it takes a long time to finish. And this is going to take a loooong time. I already want to redo most of this because I don't like the style, or lack thereof. Also, I need it to be less cartoony for the ending I have planned. Maybe Jeff Lemire cartoony. That would work.
Thanks.
