So me and _refugee_ ended up going to a concert in Philly. She tells the story better than me here but here's my side.
Ref wasn't planning on going to the show I was, but she did, and she didn't hate it.
I, on the other hand, loved it. Loved it. I loved it.
Here's Jordan Cross's leg.
Here's Jordan Cross's eyes interlocking mine.
Here's a jacket I got, it looks heavy but it's just cottony canvasy whatever fabric. Jordan sweat on it a lot. I mean, Jordan sweat a lot on everything in general but some of his sweat is mine now. Also got a guitar pick and a cool sticker I can't find.
This is a sideways recording of first encore song, Old Man, where he settled down a lot and let the notes ride. The rest of the show was mostly noise having sex with space.
Now. Shit gets real.
Here's an impressionist photograph of Reignwolf after he climbed down from the stage, put his mic stand in the middle of the tiny crowd, and told a story about when his bassist (shame _ref_!), Stitch, met a guy who played with John Lee Hooker.
Then he did a cover of Boom Boom still in the audience. It's not really describable, and you can't imagine it I'm sorry. I also barely recorded or took pics because it was dark and cameras aren't into that.
It was really loud
He climbed on a lot of things. His pants ripped, and I didn't noticed until ref told me. Thanks, ref. He dropped his mic once during a song because he was playing the guitar with it, and in the next song his guitar strap broke immediately. None of these events phased him. The band started off badly, with experimental stuff that just wasn't focused. Then he started making eye contact, probably sweated all the drugs out in the first song, and was the beautiful psycho we knew and loved.
Satellite Hearts opened up and they were off the hook in my opinion. Really wicked. I also met them and they gave me a sick pin. They were very kind and very desperate to sell the album they released two years ago. They joined and partied with the crowd when Reignwolf went on.
My mom was there.
She didn't like it. Sucks to suck mom.
Here's ref in the back seat of my car.
Lookin' cute ref.
Philly was cool, lots of history and the City Hall building was off the hook. Financial district was beautifully laden with parks, and I farted in front of the Comcast building which felt great.
I also went to see the Rodin museum. If you're in Philly, please go see the Rodin museum. I didn't plan on it, but you should. I got lucky cause I saw a sign that said go to the Rodin museum. Consider this your sign.
I have no pics from Philly. It smells better than New York and was less neurotic, and much less crowded. That made it really awesome, otherwise it's on the sucky spectrum in comparison I'm sorry.
My night was swag money. Thank you and 'till next time,
not Pablo
