In our First session, we imbibed, and discussed via IRC, Pinot Noir under the watchful eyes of thenewgreen. We continued again in our second session with the Viking classic, Mead under the surveillance of mk with the far-ranging and deep-probing, philosophical questioning from ecib
We continue, thusly, with my personal favourite potent potable: Gin.
Smashing, if I do say so.
this medieval hooch flavoured with juniper berries has, since its inception, been assosciated with medicine. first as an herbal medicine for gouts and intestinal trouble, to later on being a great mixer for the tonics English soldiers were drinking to stave off malaria.
As suggested, this will be set up into three mini-tastes:
1.) On the rocks - one shot in a tumbler, with ice.
2.) Gin and Tonic - a classic
3.) Another gin cocktail - Might I suggest a Gimlet, a Gin Fizz, a Classic Martini, or a Negroni.
You can participate in one, two, or all of the sections, depending on your enthousiasm and your budget.
So, procure your Gin and other ephemera, and be ready to imbibe on: Monday March 10th, 10PM EST there's been requests for a later date. I'll update ASAP.
I will create a post earlier that day, and we will gather on IRC at that time.
