Comcast Corp. (CMCSA) agreed to acquire Time Warner (TWC) Cable Inc. for $45.2 billion in stock, a surprise deal that combines the two largest U.S. cable companies and creates a bulwark against competition from phone and satellite providers.

Can somebody explain to me how this doesn't violate anti-trust laws? This merger would result in what I would imagine is a lot of Americans being left with one option for internet service in their area. Please let there be a successful challenge to this, Comcast is awful.
