As I was talking about before the standard scheme for success on the internet is exponential growth. Me being adverse to concavity, doing things the right way and possibly success itself mused about non exponential growth and my cartoon blog. (log growth being my preference)
I have arrived at a scheme to achieve something like this.
I only post/promote on days when it looks like I am going to have a below average day, hitwise. i.e. right now my thirty-day average is about 300 hits a day I have had 328 hits so far at noon so I leave it alone and research, write, refine, revise instead.
Psychologically and possibly idiosyncratically this frees me from feeling down when I don't achieve record hits. I have a constantly increasing average so I get the warm snugglies.
The goal is to get all the folks that would hypothetically enjoy my comic to get that joy. To make the art I want without worrying about what the general market thinks it needs.
