I believe this completely the market, creativity etc are all secondary to the human need to find other people like themselves to find a tribe. Most of us are even willing to fudge on the handshake but I fear this leads to a different kind of loneliness.
I Enjoy the internet and the folks I met here I am old enough to get a science fiction thrill from interacting/collaborating with folks from around the world but the tournament nature of the place has got me a bit down. [Not in the chemical sense of my depression which to me seems external but in a sort of existential way.]
So how do I make sure the message is passed to those who need to see it? Hubski is great and I have made friends here. Reddit/Youtube are horrible cesspools but I get more eyes on the work.
Forums seem to be very cliquish and given to groupthink.
So any advice general or for me in particular?
