A few months ago, for a Design brief at art school ("read a book out loud") I decided to read Allen Ginsberg's Howl (or, at least, part of it) into Google's voice recognition software. It came out predictably garbled, and I put it on a bit of paper and performed it in front of my group.
I want to do more with it, though, and I think other people reading it - or other poems - into Google's voice recognition software would be an interesting start.
So, do hubskiers want to read either Howl or one of their favourite poems into Google's voice recognition software? (For conceptual purposes, it'll have to be Google's. I used my Nexus and the Google Drive app, but any android device would work, and presumably you can do it with Chrome somehow...)
If possible, it would also be fantastic if you could record yourself reading the software-garbled output, too.
Here's the original work.
Thanks!
