This is just awful. I have to wonder if he thought he was right and made the results fit his beliefs, or whether he just didn't care either way and did it for the attention. Unfortunately the public mistrust of science is out-matched by its affinity for pseudo-science. I think that's a big reason why people were so quick to get behind blaming vaccines, i.e. science meddling with children.
