haunt past memories
taunting trembling
open the window and blow the smoke
Where did the sun go? The sun went to bed!
I rest my head.
See M instead,
I rest my head. DENIES IT.
"no need to cry she'll be fine," i and i tell i. I must rest my head.
I must rest my head, wake up early tomorrow and make my bed.
The eyes won't know what the face doesn't show
eat green live green carefree don't choke. "help me help you help yourself by listening to me. FIGURE YOUR SHIT OUT" she said
to my readymade bed i went. i went and rested my head.
Brian Eno and Jon Hassell - Fourth World Vol 1., Possible Musics.
I know it's incredibly long but if I put it on, I'm always down to listen to The White Album all the way through. I wouldn't even say that it's a cohesive piece really, but I really love listening to that album all the way through if I do put it on. Also, Space is Only Noise if You can See by Nicolas Jaar is a great listen from start to finish
Narcisuss, the Man with no eyes to see who he wasn’t:
died alone with you at his side.
He just wants us to know it’s he, “I despise.” To die
to lie
to die I’m gonna die alone with you at my side.
Just want you to know it’s me I despise. Together
together
together Didn’t mean to waste my money
on something as nutty as that. Waited two hours for your call
just for you to show up and leave in half.
Its all my fault
its all my fault they say money’s the root of all evil
but it’s wang’s money
where’s money’s yang?
where are you? woman.
The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test by Tom Wolfe. It's about Ken Kesey, author of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, his group of avant-artists, the Merry Pranksters, and how they pretty much birthed the movement that eventually resulted in the Summer of Love in Haight-Ashbury, San Fransisco, CA. Very good read, especially if you're interested in the realm of psychedlia and life in the 60s.
Been listening to a lot of Mac Demarco 2 lately. Also, this producer/DJ guy called Samiyam who's signed to Brainfeeder. He makes pretty dope ¿glitch-hop? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tgj7ewIV1BA
Meat Puppets - Meat Puppets II The FIery Furnaces - Blueberry Boat i don't think any of these songs really work out of context Nicolas Jaar - Space is Only Noise if You can See Bad Brains - Bad Brains Grizzly Bear - Veckatimest
Yea its pretty incredible. I'm not sure if I know of any other musicians as prolific and consistent (as in i dig just about all of his musics) as Ty but now i just feel like a fanboy cuz my username and all haha.
Xerox looked beyond the Fax Mountains, solemnly wondering that their would be yet more invasions, more powerful than the Balang, far more competent in war. Xe strained Xer mind to remember the words of the shamans, teachers rather, who had whispered dark prophecies when the moon shined red. Would Xe meet Xer doom out there? Or would Xe be the doom of the world?
---Chapter 2 Before moving on, I feel there's a certain someone, Steve Jobs, a Balang himself, Great Bearer of fruit for college students, that should be mentioned in Xerox's life, but only in brief and perhaps elaborated on a bit later as to save time at the present moment to prevent this from becoming a vast tale of telecommunications. Steve taught Xer that in order to be the best selling useful piece of technology in the dominant capitalist market on the globe in which they both existed, Xe must try and be as relatable to the Balang as possible while still being Xerself and a perfect piece of technology all at once at the same time all at once. Frustrated at the possibility of never being able to please the balang, Xerox, disgruntled, looked to Xer future and found something from Xer past: Xerox will forever be a last minute rush trickster, a not-so-kind warning to those who wait just too long.
Nice! Im seeing him a week from this tuesday. Let me know how his set goes?
I can't get enough of this guy, Ty Segall, lately. The only reason my username is what it is is because of my obsession at the time of creation. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=86vuviWaJB8 Id recommend listening to that whole album as well as this one. If you're into The White Stripes or bands like Thee Oh Sees and Wavves you should definitely check that out. Also, I've been listening to MM...FOOD by MF DOOM a lot lately as well. If you don't know him already, MF DOOM is a master of laidback aggressive-minded wordplay. EDIT; He's a villain, a master of disguise, an ugly brother with gorgeous flows, and metal fingers made for pushin ill beat buttons. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GZAXE3-srfM
I'm in the same position as you. I think you'll find hubski really refreshing, regardless of how mny people follow you/you follow.
Unless, of course, your idea is to just leer and not participate, of course. obviously
