I was going to post this. Every piece of mail sent to any person or place via the USPS is photographed and retained in a government database. Any law enforcement entity can dip in without asking a judge or getting a warrant, and indeed, it's actually a USPS employee that decides whether to hand it over (spoiler: they hand it over).

All employees of the executive, judicial, and legislative branches should have their homes wired with cameras recording 24/7. Every room. No exceptions. It's ok though, cause the video would be stored and nobody would be allowed to look at it unless there was suspicion of a crime or other untoward activity. It would just be a safety precaution that would actually give them an additional layer of security. Our leaders deserve nothing less, and nobody would be looking at it anyway except in those crazy rare understandable circumstances. They'd still have complete privacy.
