Pretty wild use of Twitter. One thing that bothered by about the media coverage of this event was that the reasons why Somali militants would do this was completely missing from the coverage. Everyone was moaning and groaning about what a great injustice to the Somali people this was and what barbarous fucks the attackers were. No one ever said something to the extent that limiting the mission of the UN in Somalia was a pretty solid tactic for these militants to pursue if they want to destabilize the government. It just seem to be shallow coverage. The militants are probably horrible fuckers, but they are fuckers that are acting with a purpose, maybe that should be part of the analysis.
