I watched the TED talk and I was impressed that he was able to keep it together while being interviewed by the FBI. He is right in saying that they "essentially decide life or death". We think of the FBI as our protectors but how must it feel to have those that you consider your safeguard, aggressively questioning YOU and asking things like, "Have you ever witnessed or participated in any act that may be detrimental to the United States". -Pretty intense.

The fact that Mr. Elahi can recount all of this with a smile on his face and a sense of humor says a great deal about him. How could this line of questioning lasted 6 months? It would seem any interrogator worth their salt would quickly realize they had the wrong fella!?

Seriously? Why did it go on for so long? Did he give suspicious answers? What was their reasoning for prolonging the "investigation"?
