I still have some hope that Major Khaaan will be found and returned to us, camera's and footage in tow. I would LOVE to see where that capsule travelled to and know more about it's journey. mk and I drove around and eventually sat in a small tavern in some small town in Mid Michigan awaiting a signal from the GPS and as the minutes turned to hours, our enthusiasm waned. What should have been our celebratory beers went down tough. But we had fun and we learned a lot about how to do this and we WILL do it again. Hubski most likely has been to space, but we will return with renewed vigor and footage to prove it! To Space!I do have to say that none of us are ok with this being our last weather balloon. We have experience that we want to apply, and we will be planning a future project.
Without a doubt! I have to say that even though Major Khaaan is MIA, I had a fantastic time working on this and carrying out our mission. Watching that balloon carry our payload off in to the clouds was one of the most exhilarating moments I have had in a good long while.
