If the NYTimes lawsuit prevails even a little bit, they'll have to.Of course, Nightshade is not able to reverse the flow of time: any artworks scraped prior to being shaded by the tool were still used to train AI models, and shading them now may impact the model’s efficacy going forward, but only if those images are re-scraped and used again to train an updated version of an AI image generator model.
