It has to be some combination of willful ignorance and consciously anti-constitutional/anti-American behavior, I think, for Gaetz, Greene, Boebert, etc., but the senior GOP party leaders must perfectly understand their own deals with the devil.

Gaetz is already going to jail for sex trafficking a minor. I dunno why it's taking so long (other than obviously you want prosecutions airtight when indicting sitting members of congress), but now it won't happen until after the midterms. Probably Garland is hoping Gaetz loses his seat. Florida primaries are in about three weeks. I was disgusted to see Greene and Boebert win their primaries. It really is overwhelmingly about campaign financing$.

I'm calling it again: If the GOP takes the House, Trump will try to take every ounce of credit, and he'll make a bid to be Speaker of the House. If he's successful, we could be looking at the first simultaneous POTUS and Speaker, in 2025, because (you're not gonna believe this) he might not want to relinquish the power of Speaker, once he is granted the role.

Now you go. Hit me with the wildest, anti-American, fascist, theocratic scenario you can imagine. Because whatever it is is probably one option they're working towards.
