Don’t do what what you want to do is what this boils down to for you. I’m not going to apologize for having a hobby that isn’t watching a movie. I do like movies but fuck you if you think I’m going to take a day off for that. And you know what, I’m managing multiple people with young kids right now and I’m on the other side of this equation where days and hours are all over the place while they handle childcare and the like, and am often rescheduling meetings and work because of that. Would you fire them? Can you tell me how that’s different specific to the outcome? Because I am never going to equate climbing with having a child, but I will say I think the outcome is very similar to everything you just typed...and yet I have no qualms with it. Hmm.
