The only pause I have about the whole Oumuamua thing (having finished 78% of Avi Loeb's book, according to Kindle), is that we found it almost immediately after the instruments that could sense it went online.

Coincidences are uncomfortable.

Loeb says the other instruments saw nothing when pointed at Oumuamua, and the new instrument that had just come online was uniquely calibrated to be able to see objects like this ... and immediately saw an object like that.

So ... is it more likely that we happened to fly just the right instrument at just the right time to catch a glimpse of a rare and unusual thing?

Or is it more likely that these things are relatively common, and we just haven't had the right instruments deployed to sense them?

Ockham's Razor says the latter is more likely...

But ... RAMA!
