You were ridiculed because you were arguing "video games cause violence" in a thread about how the one study underpinning that theory was resoundingly discredited. You are still arguing that the facts don't matter, what matters is your feelings. The Kenosha shooter was surrounded by guns, went to events with cops, filled his life with propaganda related to Trump and gave over entirely to the Othering of Black Lives Matter. No one - no one - has brought up video games in this kid's life. Blackhawk Down? older than this kid. Comics? Not even mentioned. You are literally trying to change the subject to something not in evidence because you have a gut feeling. And the whole problem with this discussion is you refuse to acknowledge that your gut feeling has no empirical evidence to back it up. Kid could have spent his weekends shooting up hajis in COD4 and you know what? He'd probably still be doing it. You have this need to go "well if they do bad things in a game it's proof positive that they want to do them in real life" but there is exactly zero evidence to back you up. So yeah. We can revisit that conversation but the facts haven't changed and neither will my tone.
