This is all my gut talking but - While I agree that people will want their own vehicles for transport, but I think that will become a luxury item. The fact people want it means it'll come at a premium.

My argument about the working poor needing rides was wonderfully eviscerated by the reminder of the coming robotics revolution, but I still have trouble imagining a world that provides this level of comfort at an affordable price. It's just too easy for marketers to sell a shitty option then upcharge for nothing more than prestige.
